Characteristics
Price is per sheet
Embroidery 3D Foam White is a specialty 2mm foam designed to create bold, dimensional effects in machine embroidery. Placed directly over the garment before stitching, the foam is covered by dense satin stitches to raise the embroidered design above the fabric and produce the distinctive look commonly known as 3D puff embroidery.
With a 65-density construction, this foam provides the firmness and support needed to maintain dimensional lettering, numbers, logos, and other embroidery elements while allowing properly digitized stitches to perforate the foam around the design.
The 2mm thickness provides noticeable elevation without excessive bulk, making it an excellent choice for professional embroidery applications where a clean, raised appearance is desired. It is particularly popular for decorating structured caps and hats but can also be used on suitable jackets, bags, apparel, and other embroidered products.
The white color is ideal for white and light-colored embroidery designs. Matching the foam color closely to the embroidery thread helps minimize the visibility of any small pieces of foam that may remain between stitches after the excess material is removed.
Each sheet measures 11" x 11", providing a convenient size for placement within common embroidery hoops and allowing the foam to be trimmed into smaller sections when working with individual designs.
After embroidery is complete, excess foam can be gently torn away from the outside edges of the design. Proper 3D embroidery digitizing, sufficient stitch density, and closely spaced perforation stitches help create clean edges and make excess foam easier to remove.
