Lightweight white no-show poly mesh cut-away embroidery backing designed to provide soft, stable support while minimizing backing show-through on lightweight and light-colored garments.

Characteristics

Embroidery Poly Mesh 1.5oz White No Show is a lightweight embroidery backing designed to provide dependable stabilization while maintaining a soft, low-profile appearance behind embroidered designs.

The sheer construction helps minimize backing visibility through white, light-colored, lightweight, and thinner fabrics. This makes poly mesh an excellent choice when conventional heavier cut-away backing may create a noticeable outline or "badge effect" around the finished embroidery.

At only 1.5 oz, this no-show backing provides a combination of lightweight comfort and embroidery stability. It helps control fabric movement and stretching during stitching, reducing puckering and helping embroidered outlines, lettering, and design details remain properly aligned.

The soft, flexible construction makes it especially well suited for garments worn close to the skin. Performance shirts, polos, T-shirts, lightweight knits, athletic apparel, and similar garments can benefit from the added stability without the stiffness and bulk associated with heavier backing materials.

As a cut-away style stabilizer, the material remaining behind the embroidery continues supporting the design after the excess backing has been trimmed away. This is particularly beneficial on stretchy and unstable fabrics that require permanent support to help maintain the appearance of the embroidery through repeated wear and laundering.

The 20" wide roll provides flexibility for cutting backing to the size required for different hoop and design configurations, while the 50-yard roll length is convenient for commercial embroidery production.

Usage Tips
  • Cut a piece of backing large enough to extend beyond the embroidery design and provide adequate support inside the hoop.
  • Position the poly mesh behind the garment before hooping.
  • Hoop the garment and backing securely while avoiding excessive stretching of the fabric.
  • Keep the garment in its natural shape during hooping to help prevent puckering after embroidery.
  • Use on white and light-colored garments where conventional backing may be visible through the fabric.
  • Poly mesh is particularly useful for performance wear, T-shirts, polos, lightweight knits, and other garments where softness is important.
  • For larger or more stitch-intensive designs, consider using an additional layer of poly mesh or combining it with another suitable stabilizer for increased support.
  • After embroidery, carefully trim the excess backing around the design without cutting the garment or embroidery stitches.
  • Leave enough backing around the embroidered area to maintain permanent design support.
  • Always test the backing, design, thread, needle, and garment combination before beginning a full production run.
