Lightweight 1.5 oz white no-show poly mesh cut-away embroidery backing designed to provide soft, stable support while minimizing backing visibility through lightweight garments.

Characteristics

Embroidery Poly Mesh 1.5oz White No Show Backing is a lightweight cut-away embroidery stabilizer designed to provide dependable support while remaining soft, flexible, and less visible through garments.

The 1.5 oz poly mesh construction makes this backing especially well suited for lightweight, delicate, and performance fabrics where traditional heavyweight backing may be too stiff or visible. Its low-profile construction helps maintain the natural drape and feel of the garment after embroidery.

No-show poly mesh backing is particularly useful on light-colored garments and fabrics where conventional backing can sometimes be visible through the material. The white color blends well with many light-colored textiles, helping produce a cleaner and more professional finished appearance.

Despite its lightweight construction, the poly mesh provides the stability needed to help control fabric movement during embroidery. This can help reduce puckering, stretching, and distortion while improving stitch definition and overall design quality.

As a cut-away stabilizer, the backing remains behind the embroidery after stitching to provide permanent support to the design. This makes it an excellent choice for garments that will be worn and washed repeatedly, including performance apparel, polos, T-shirts, uniforms, and other lightweight garments.

The soft poly mesh construction also makes it comfortable for garments worn against the skin. Excess backing can be carefully trimmed around the finished embroidery while leaving sufficient material around the design to maintain long-term stability.

Pre-cut into convenient 8.5" x 8.5" sheets, this backing eliminates the need to measure and cut material from a roll. Each package contains 250 sheets for efficient use in commercial embroidery shops and everyday garment decoration.

Usage Tips
  • Place one sheet of poly mesh backing behind the garment before hooping.
  • Make sure the backing fully covers the embroidery area and extends beyond the design on all sides.
  • Hoop the garment and backing securely while avoiding excessive stretching of the fabric.
  • Use the appropriate needle, thread, and embroidery settings for the garment being decorated.
  • After embroidery is complete, carefully remove the garment from the hoop.
  • Trim excess backing around the outside of the embroidered design rather than tearing it away.
  • Leave enough backing around the design to maintain long-term stitch stability.
  • For larger or particularly dense embroidery designs, additional stabilization may be necessary.
  • Test the backing with the garment and embroidery design before beginning a full production run.
  • White backing is recommended for white and other light-colored garments where backing visibility is a concern.
  • Store unused sheets in a clean, dry location to prevent contamination or damage.
