Overview
The Calmat QC 4661 MW is a flash cure unit built for MHM automatic presses. It is sized for the MHM S-Type (S-Type Xtreme). It mounts tool-free in a print station, so it needs no extra floor space around the press, and the side brackets set its height above the pallet.
It uses six medium-wave carbon infrared lamps (MW 7001) that emit at a wavelength suited to curing plastisol and water-based inks without overheating the pallets. Between flashes the lamps idle at a standby level, and after a set time with no start signal the unit drops to a low standby level. Carbon lamps don't surge on start-up, so several presses can be powered up together.
Power level and flash time are set on the microprocessor control panel, and each of the three lamp zones can be switched on separately. The supplied cable connects the flash to the press so it runs with the print cycle and can be adjusted from the MHM touchscreen. It can also be started by a footswitch or photocell.

Cooler, Faster Cure

Tool-Free Mounting
Fits into an empty station or a print station. Height-adjustable brackets; MHM recommends starting at 35 to 40 mm (about 1.5 in) above the pallet. -
Overheat Protection
Shuts off automatically if the temperature inside the unit passes 70 °C (158 °F). -
Aluminum Insert Frame Included
Comes with the aluminum insert frame for mounting in the press.
